Pletia, two-time European champion
Kristi Pletia has won dozens of medals for Romania so far! He is a multiple national champion in the junior, trainee and youth singles event and the European U21 champion in the doubles event with his best friend, Rareș Șipoș, the European U21 champion in the mixed doubles event along with Adina Diaconu, a four-time winner in the European top ten, European Trainee Singles Champion and European Junior Summer, Singles and Bronze Medal at the Under-21 World Championships, also in the singles event.
He has been a part of the Romanian men’s national table tennis team since he was 17 years old. In Germany, he plays for TTC Zugbrucke Grenzau, and from next season he will play with Werder Bremen.
Rari practiced 4 sports until he started playing table tennis
Before reaching table tennis, at the age of six, Rarich played football, tennis, basketball and swimming.
“I had a lot of energy and had to somehow consume it. I played football, tennis, basketball and swimming. In the winter I went skiing with my parents. I was very active ”- Rari Chiboi, member of the Romanian men’s national table tennis team.
Rarich remembers the first steps in the sport he played in terms of performance.
“I used to go to the gym with my dad every Sunday and one day one of the guys told me to come and gave me some lessons. He saw me and after a few minutes he told me I had talent and that I could grow up” – Rari Cebu, National Table Tennis Team Member Roman for men.
Since then and until now, the athlete has won dozens of medals and awards and does not want to stop here. Among other things, he has 21 European medals, in the U21, U18 and U15, and a medal in the World Tag Team Championship.
In April, pim won the Senior National Champion title in the singles event. For 5 years, the athlete was a member of the German team Ttc OE Bad Homburg.
They’ve been best friends since they were eight years old
Cristi Pletea and Rareș Șipoș have been friends for 13 years. The former admits that it took several years for the two to become friends.
